Who is SaraeSports
Sara began playing softball at age 7 and quickly established herself as a dominant pitcher. As a four-year starting varsity pitcher at Rancho Bernardo High School, she led her team to a CIF Championship in 2013 while posting a 1.81 career ERA. She was named Female Athlete of the Year (2013) and Palomar League Player of the Year (2014).
A standout from an early age, Sara pitched her travel team, Power Surge, to a 12U ASA National Championship title at just 12 years old. She was also featured in the San Diego Union-Tribune for a standout performance against a future Notre Dame teammate:
Sara continued her career at the University of Notre Dame (2014–2018), where she competed at the Division I level. After a rotator cuff surgery her sophomore year, she transitioned from pitcher to first base and outfield, contributing to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including a hosted regional in 2015.
Now a dedicated coach, Sara has been developing athletes at a high level since 2022 with Powerhouse Mechanics, where she led the Sacramento region. In 2023, she served as the pitching instructor for American River College. Her athletes have gone on to play at programs including UNLV, Santa Clara, Menlo College, and Davis & Elkins College.
